Employers Likely To Pay 9 Percent More For Health Care
Next year employers are likely to pay 9 percent more for health care. This is based on the reported projections for 2010. However the increase is slightly lower than in the previous two years. There has been an economic slowdown but medical costs are rising faster than inflation as well as wage increases.
The reason for this is that Americans are using health care services more in anticipation of a job loss and therefore their health insurance. The statistics reveal growing unemployment and lack of insurance.
With more and more people going onto Medicaid, the medical costs rise. In addition corporate profits have declined. The price of health care is not likely to go up forever. It could collapse.
Meanwhile – the Health Care Debate, the legislation is being shaped as it starts to move towards being a bill signed by the president. There are three bills on the anvil. The disagreements ivolve imposing obligations on employers, the government insurance plan and the generation of $1 trillion for the health care bill.
